More than 20 years ago, God laid it on the heart of Pastor Thelma to develop a ministry that would meet the needs of the Body of Christ. She recorded the vision in obedience to Habakkuk 2:2-3, “And the LORD answered me: 'Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end--it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.'” (ESV)
In 1993, a small group began gathering in the home of Pastors Otis and Thelma, resulting in the incorporation of Vessels of His Love Church. While many things have changed throughout the years, and the foretold future has yet to welcome many things; One thing has remained. God has been faithful to His Word and we have remained committed to His call and our assigned mission: “Covering the earth with the Blood of Jesus."
Luke 4:18-19 is the life verse of Vessels; “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”
